Healthwatch England Chair and National Director respond to the death of Queen Elizabeth II

“We are deeply saddened by the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, who served our nation with so much dignity and dedication during her long years of public service.

“Her contribution will long be remembered, not least by the NHS patients and workers to whom she provided so much support during her reign.

“On behalf of everyone at Healthwatch, we would like to express our deepest condolences to the Royal Family.  Our thoughts and sympathy are with you.”

As the nation mourns the loss of our monarch, Merton Council has opened a book of condolence in the foyer of the Civic Centre and at libraries across the borough.  The council’s website will be the main source of updated information relating to formal arrangements at a borough level.  For the latest national guidance on mourning visit the government website.  Further guidance and information on how to sign the online book of condolence is available at the Royal Family website.
