Your spotlight on local services

Healthwatch Merton announce their work streams for 2015/16

Thank you to those who were able to attend our Feedback and the Future event at Vestry Hall on Wednesday 20th May 2015. The event was a great opportunity to review all the work we have been involved with over the last year and announce our work streams for 2015/16. We also heard presentations from Healthwatch England and Merton Clinical Commissioning Group.

Over the last 12 months Healthwatch Merton has been busy gathering people’s views on health and social care in the borough – a survey was also conducted and completed by 314 local people. Healthwatch Merton were told by local people that they were keen for us to develop work in two areas - Older People and A&E / Urgent Care. We will be undertaking more directed and detailed work around these areas and hope to engage with you and many more people during the coming months. In addition to this, we have our Operational and Top Down work streams which are Children and Young People, and Integrated Care.

As well as these planned work streams, we will still be out and about speaking to people to find out what else matters to them when it comes to their health and social care – we have a busy and exciting 12 months ahead!

We really hope you can engage with us on our future work streams by continuing to attend events, giving your opinions and getting involved through volunteering.
