Off the Record services for young people arrive in Merton
At the beginning of April Off the Record launched its new support services for young people aged 11-18 in Merton.
Off the Record already provides a range of youth support services in Sutton and Croydon where the charity has been working for over 20 years. Now, following new investment from Merton CCG, Off the Record are extending their services to Merton.
Young people will be able to access free individual counselling with a professional youth counsellor either face-to-face or through their dedicated online site. Merton young people can also access regular online workshops covering a range of key issues facing young people, such as coping with exam stress, dealing with depression or managing anger.
Karen Stott, Off the Record’s Director, said “In the past, we’ve often been approached by young people and professionals unable to find youth mental health support in Merton. We’re delighted that this new investment has made it possible for us to open up our services to young people in Merton and we look forward to offering free, confidential support to young people in the borough.”
